Swiftpaw looked around for his mentor, wanting to go out again to train. Meanwhile, Ivyfoot organised patrols for hunting, then turned to Magpiestar's den to report clan news. 00:54 Fri Jan 2
Sharpkit licked the diamond shaped marking on his chest after playing with his dad. I'm nearly an apprentice he thought, then watched sadly as his father left him after a long time.--- Stoatfeather quickened his pace, passing his apprentice and her brother.--- Tansyspring thought about going to her brother, then remembered how he would most likely ignore her, then walked with her apprentice, who was talking to his sister.Meerkatpaw (talk) 04:07, January 2, 2015 (UTC)
Fleckpelt nodded to Swiftpaw and led his apprentice out of camp.----Ivorypaw begged Ivyfoot to train.---- Shiftkey purred at Muskratkit and Falconkit before padding outside to find a meal.----Flaringflame curled into a tight ball, ready for his training.----Cranekit wailed since he was supposed to be an apprentice.----Burningflame lapped at her white pelt, her green gaze soft as she grew tired.Silverstar 21:08, January 6, 2015 (UTC)
Sharpkit sighed. I should be an apprentice soon he thought. He honestly didn't care who his mentor would be, as long as he or she would let him train with Troutpaw and Ragwortpaw at times.--- Troutpaw entered camp, followed by his sister.--- Stoatfeather irritably twitched his tail when he saw Badgernose enter his spot.Meerkatpaw (talk) 00:44, January 7, 2015 (UTC)
Cranekit continued to grumble bitterly, demanding that he was made an apprentice.---- Falconkit rolled onto his back in boredom.---- Flaringflame opened his eyes to see Lionstar. With a heavy sigh, he prepared himself for battle/training.Silverstar 17:53, January 17, 2015 (UTC)
Badgernose growled as Stoatfeather stared at him. Do I have something of his? he thought, then decided to provoke him, leaving a bit of a scent mark.--- "Who do you think you are?" Stoatfeather snarled, but the black and white tom ignored him. Troutpaw isn't as bad as him! I should do something...--- Tansyspring looked to Auburnberry, who was eating a vole. The russet she-cat was a friend to her, like her former mentor. Auburnberry smiled, then pushed the rest of the vole to her. "Here, I've had enough" she said. Tansyspring smiled. "Thank you Auburnberry" she murmured. Auburnberry dipped her head to her son's mentor, then padded to the nursery.Meerkatpaw (talk) 21:48, January 17, 2015 (UTC)
(sorry about the wait) "Cranepaw your mentor shall be Flaringflame, and Sharppaw your mentor shall be Raggedpelt." Magpiestar called from highrock with a smile upon his face. —— #chicks =trouble Tue Jan 20 21:23
Flaringflame -recently waking from sleep touched his nose to Cranepaw's. The young tom was bouncing with excitement, pleased to be mentored by his Uncle.---- Rainingflame smiled up at Magpiestar, not talking with her friend in a while, but she had been quite busy as well with her own apprentice. Speaking of her apprentice, where was he?Silverstar 21:28, January 20, 2015 (UTC)
Raggedpelt padded calmly up to Sharppaw. "We'll begin with a tour of the territory tomorrow after the dawn patrol," the tom meowed, touching his nose to his apprentice's, then stepping back. The Clan chanted the apprentice's new names, but he payed no attention to it. He found chanting their names only influenced their ego. — nervousbreakdance 21:43, 01/20/2015
Sharppaw smiled brightly and nodded to his mentor, then looked to his two adopted siblings. "Finally" he said, then looked around to see his father. "Dad, did you see me?" he asked. Stoatfeather smiled and nodded, although Sharppaw no longer being a kit hurt a bit for the usually bitter curly- furred tom.--- Auburnberry smiled to her children and adopted son, who were happy to be together. I love them, but now I can get back to my warrior duties she thought.Meerkatpaw (talk) 23:22, January 20, 2015 (UTC)
Risingpaw sat waiting for one of the older cats to either give her a lesson or ask her to do someting, cleaning her thick pelt. Bumblefern would be proud of me! She thought. Patch (talk) 18:14, January 21, 2015 (UTC)
Tansyspring stretched a little, joining in on the conversation between Troutpaw, Ragwortpaw and Sharppaw, who were happy to see the older she- cat.--- Stoatfeather yawned, thenlooked over the fresh kill pile to eat.Meerkatpaw (talk) 21:16, January 21, 2015 (UTC)
Raggedpelt turned away from the rest of the clan as the ceremony ended. He'd just become a warrior a few moons ago and hadn't expected to get an apprentice, especially when there were older warriors in the Clan who had not yet received one. He was grateful for the chance to train a younger cat though, so he wasn't complaining. — nervousbreakdance 00:06, 01/22/2015
Ragwortpaw smiled to Sharppaw, who smiled back. She had missed him since being an apprentice, but now she could be with him for once.--- Troutpaw twitched his whiskers amusingly. He had his partner in crime back and more interest into Sharppaw's relationship in Ragwortpaw.Meerkatpaw (talk) 02:10, January 22, 2015 (UTC)
Ivorypaw shook out his silver fur, hoping the deputy would resume training him soon. Fleckpelt was training with his brother, and deep down, Ivorypaw wished he had the black-and-silver Tom as a mentor.---- Cranepaw bounced slightly. "What now?" He asked Flaringflame. The fire-colored Tom flicked his tail, standing tall with a sturdy and handsome look. Burningflame rolled her eyes at her brother upon seeing this. "Make yourself a nice nest." Ordered Flaringflame with a smile, watching his apprentice happily loping off.Silverstar 04:06, January 22, 2015 (UTC)
Tansyspring sighed after the three apprentices headed into the apprentices den. What a close bond the three of them share. Unlike a certain bond I have... However, she quickly moved on, then decided to go for a hunt.Meerkatpaw (talk) 04:41, January 22, 2015 (UTC)
Cranepaw shook his dirty pelt out as he lay his nest down. The moss was snowy and cold, clumped with dirt, but he'd eventually thaw it out...Also, he didn't exactly know where the good and dry moss was, as he was just an apprentice and never had much of a chance to explore as a kit.---- Ivorypaw grumbled to himself as he paced about angrily.---- Burningflame approached Flaringflame, nuzzling her brother's cheek. "It's great to be a warrior again...How's mentoring your little nephew?" She asked the handsome fire-colored tom with a friendly shove. "I don't know yet, I just got him sis." He purred, amusement flashing in his green gaze.Silverstar 20:45, January 22, 2015 (UTC)
Gatorjaw sat in camp, he had been present for Cranekit's ceremony, pride filled his expression as his 'son' was made into an apprentice. He shot a glance towards Burningflame, his ears laid back against his cranium as he let out a sharp sigh. The tabby stood up and padded out of camp, his tail dragged behind him. --- Frostleaf padded up to the newly made apprentice and his mentor. "Your gonna make a great mentor Flaringflame, and you Cranepaw, do your and you'll become a great warrior I promise." She winked at the apprentice, then turned, glancing at her brother as he exited camp. Gatorjaw...? She was almost curious enough to follow him, but she didn't want to ruin the happy vibe the camp had. This means WAR 20:46, January 25, 2015 (UTC)
Stoatfeather growled to his apprentice, who took a liking to his son. "You don't deserve him" he snarled, unsheathing his claws just outside of camp. However, Troutpaw was with them, as well as Tansyspring. The black and white tom with a striking resemblance to his father furiously stood in front of Ragwortpaw. "She deserves him more than you deserve him as a son" he retorted, his eyes casting to Sharppaw, who had joined the fray and he didn't seem happy with his father's behaviour. "Troutpaw's right" he growled. "Trying to insult the cat I'm happy with!" Ragwortpaw smiled weakly, receiving a smile back.Meerkatpaw (talk) 22:02, January 25, 2015 (UTC)
A ginger tabby she-cat called to the distance to three other cats, practically asking for them to catch up. But none of them could possibly catch up with her. Turning around, she bolted off toward the distance in the flat grassy plain. Harepaw was confident enough in herself that she thought she was the fastest apprentice in the Clan; a few more moons and perhaps the fastest, in her mind.
"You guys are so slow. I wonder how you guys manage to even catch prey, if you're running like that!" she sneered. "I'd bet none of you guys can even match up to me!"
Far behind her were three apprentices; a white tom, a blue-gray tom, and a red-brown tabby tom. They were running after her - well, they had nothing else to do for the time being - and trying to keep up with her. The white tom, Lightningpaw, was faring better than the others, but they could still easily catch up with effort. He was the only one that wasn't related to these three apprentices; Harepaw, and the other two, Thistlepaw and Rabbitpaw, were all from the same nursery litter. They were all born around the same time, and grew up together before being apprenticed.
"Oh, please," Lightningfoot snorted. "I could catch up to you with ease!"
Harepaw wasn't looking back, only focusing on what was in front of her. Despite being so into the intense run she was in right now, she could still manage to respond back.
"Then do it! I'm not waiting all day!" she shouted as she ran off into the distance. Lightningpaw was left frustrated - not enough to blow off his temper, though - at the she-cat. How could she manage to outspeed all them by several foxlengths? Surely, he'd have to try harder. A few moments later, Lightningpaw was running after her, hoping to catch up. He'd expect the other two toms to be behind him. Bbunlegs 12:56, January 27, 2015 (UTC)
"And off they go."
The reddish brown tom slowed down to a simple jog, watching as his longer furred sibling followed suit. Both of them knew there was no catching up to Lightningpaw. And there was absolutely no chance they'd catch up to their sister. So once the two had dashed off, they'd given up.
"Now, if only she used her brain like that instead of her paws."
There was snort of what was possibly agreement from Thistlepaw.
"Funny how you didn't say that about Lightningpaw, though."
"Shut up." Thequickandtheblues 13:37, January 27, 2015 (UTC)
It didn't take long before Lightningpaw was running back to Thistlepaw and Rabbitpaw, running as fast as he could manage at the moment. Right behind him, Harepaw was chasing him back to them, and she was catching up to him very quickly. It wouldn't take long before she leaped at the tom and pinned him down to the ground. The two fidgeted for a moment before Harepaw was on top of Lightningpaw, who had pretty much given in to defeat.
"Couldn't keep up with me, huh?" Harepaw snorted. She found the tom racing after her a few minutes after telling him to go chase her. Of course, she knew that he would try to beat her, which in her mind was impossible, so she decided to chase him back to the others. Hopefully her mentor, Magpiestar, wouldn't have minded their little run.
"S-Shut up," Lightningpaw said fussily. He was still rather sore that Harepaw had to be the one to pin him down to the ground - he would've preferred Rabbitpaw, really - but with her arrogant attitude, it didn't help his case here.
"Well, next time, maybe you'll have a chance," she joked. "Probably not, but it's always worth a shot."
"Only if you can survive a week without getting into trouble," Lightningpaw spat. "I swear, you do more den cleaning than training at this point."
"Shaddup," Harepaw said. "You're just jealous that I beat you in that race."
Stoatfeather irritably growled at the apprentice. "I have my own apprentice. Go ask Magpiestar to get you a mentor" he growled, not wanting to interact with anybody.Meerkatpaw (talk) 22:50, January 27, 2015 (UTC)
Magpiestar fluffed out his pelt, underneath it deep scars had formed from the attack he had suffered a couple moons ago from Slugheart. I hope she has rotted since... His ears pricked as a voice called his name. The large leader turned to see Risingpaw trot up to him. "I believe Weaselwhisker is free of an apprentice, ask him. If not I'll take some time to teach you."
The black and white leader had taken time away from his Clan, since Cliff left. It had taken its toll on him, and to cover up for it he drilled it into his head that he would make sure that the Clan would become strong once again. —— #chicks =trouble Tue Jan 27 22:59
Raggedpelt glanced around camp for his son, Lightningpaw. Not seeing him, he realized the tom must be out - again - watching as his friend, Harepaw, got into loads of trouble - as usual. He padded over to Beeheart, one of the sensible toms in the Clan.
"You seen your kittens lately, Beeheart?" the tabby asked. Beeheart shook his head. "Harepaw's probably causing trouble. With all the trouble she gets into, I'll be grey well before I even think of retiring! She may never see the light of day for more than a day at a time! Poor molly, always throwing herself headfirst into trouble. Hope she shapes up." — nervousbreakdance 23:01, 01/27/2015
The large leader stood quietly in thought. I'll run out of warriors at this rate. "Echopaw go see if Chervilclaw will mentor you, and Wolfpaw go talk with Fleckpelt." Magpiestar waved his plumy tail to dismiss the pair of apprentices. —— #chicks =trouble Tue Jan 27 23:23
Echopaw nodded and went to Chervilclaw. "Chervilclaw Magpiestar sent me. Would yo mentor me?"--Wolfpaw turned and dashed to Fleckpelt. "Fleckpelt will you mentor me?" — Mel Pray For Peace 23:32, January 27, 2015 (UTC)
Raggedpelt snorted. "Poor little molly. Yeah, I bet you once she gets into the groove of being an apprentice with responsibilities she'll shape up," he meowed. "Mind you, I've not had any kits before Lightningpaw, so I wouldn't know for sure. But I believe she'll do fine, Beeheart."
Beeheart smiled. "I hope so. She and her littermates are a handful," he chuckled lightly. "How's Lightningpaw?" he asked, steering away from his own family.
"Lightningpaw's a fine tom. I have no doubts that he's going to be a great warrior. After all, look who his father is! And his mom, of course, the poor dear. Doesn't get enough credit in this Clan for my liking. Hopefully she'll become better known, you know?" — nervousbreakdance 23:41, 01/27/2015
(first post omg) Chervilclaw noticed that Echopaw was padded toward her. She wondered what the reason would be - surely it wasn't to go apprentice her or anything. She was mentoring Blossombreeze's kit Thistlepaw, who was out with his friends right now. Sighing, she faced the younger apprentice with disappointed eyes.
Rainingflame approached Magpiestar in a calm stride, giving her friend a nod of acknowledgement. "To inform you, Fleckpelt's already mentoring Swiftpaw...My apprentice Littlepaw hasn't been seen in moons, so I can take on a new one." She offered, feeling a bit disappointed in herself. Had it been her fault that her apprentice left/disappeared?---- Flaringflame waited Cranepaw, nodding to the tabby and white tom. "Alright, let's head out!"Silverstar 23:59, January 27, 2015 (UTC)
Magpiestar gave a small smile to his friend. "I guess that's what happens when you distance yourself from the Clan for a few moons... But if you want to, be my guest." The black and white tom treasured his friendship with Rainingflame. To him she was always there, and it gave him the confidence to do his job. —— #chicks =trouble Wed Jan 28 00:03
Rainingflame gave the bi-colored leader a curt nod. "Yes sir, I'll be getting to my apprentice now. Great to talk with you!" She called over her shoulder, giving him a smile before bounding off. Her blue gaze wondering, she eventually spotted Wolfpaw and called to him, "hey, Wolfpaw, I'm your new mentor!"Silverstar 00:06, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Troutpaw smiled to his sister and friend. "I'll give you two some privacy" he said smugly, then realised that his father was missing. He decided to head out himself, Stoatfeather watching.Meerkatpaw (talk) 00:27, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Risingpaw nodded to Weaselwhisker. "when do we start?" She questioned calmly. Echopaw sighed, "alright," Echopaw bounded back to Magpiestar. "Magpiestar Chervilclaw can't take an apprentice." She told the leader.--wolfpaw smiled. "Great." He touched her nose affectioantely. — Mel Pray For Peace 00:56, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame stepped back from her new apprentice as she gazed down at him, giving him a small nod. "Alright, first thing's first. We need to check out your hunting skills and knowledge of our territory."Silverstar 01:00, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Ivorypaw greeted Cranepaw, approaching the tabby and white tom slightly cautiously. "Hey, your new, right? I'm Ivorypaw." The rather handsome silvery tom greeted with a proud look, his head held utterly high. "I'm Cranepaw!"---- Falconkit tromped about in the nursery, ruining nests and tracking in as much mud as he could.---- Rainingflame motioned to her new apprentice as she left camp, trotting at a slow pace in case her apprentice couldn't keep up with her longer strides.Silverstar 01:07, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Deciding it was a good place to hunt, the silver tabby came to a halt. Rainingflame faced her new apprentice, gazing down at him with calm blue eyes before murmuring, "alright, what can you detect?"Silverstar 01:12, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame paused, tasting the air before confirming him correct. Looking over her shoulder, her gaze softened for the Clan territory beside them, bringing back memories of her kithood. "Alright then, what border are we at currently?"Silverstar 01:15, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame shook her head, flicking her tail to the familiar streams. "No no, try again. Think about the landscape." She recommended, sitting down beside the border with her tail curled around her delicate paws.Silverstar 01:19, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Thistlepaw snorted, sitting down when the two cats made their entrance once again. He'd known it wouldn't of been long before the two speedsters had come back. That was always how it was.
"Heh. Welcome back. You especially, Lightningpaw. Rabbitpaw was starting to miss you."
The red-brown cat growled softly, headbutting his brothers shoulder. "Why would I miss that irritable furball?"
It seemed that the large grey tom knew exactly how to get under his brothers skin. And he loved that fact. Thequickandtheblues 01:20, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame gave her apprentice a small frown. "Incorrect again. It's SplashClan." She revealed, motioning to the steady streams with a longing sigh. My home, where the last of my family lies...But my heart will always belong to SummerClan, where my father and sister used to roam along my side.Silverstar 01:24, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw was still smug as ever over beating the others in that race. It just felt amazing with winning over others who, in her mind, had practically no chance of outrunning her. Now she got off of Lightningpaw, letting the tom lay on the ground in defeat as she went ahead to boast about her accomplishments.
"Remember that time when I beat you guys in that prey-catching competition? It was soo cool, since we got a lot of prey for the Clan and Magpiestar was happy and we got the rest of the day off-" Harepaw's mouth was running on and on about every single detail she could remember. She was clearly proud of doing that.
"I think we all get that you're the best warrior the Clans have ever seen. With how knowledgeable and wise you are, heh," Lightningpaw responded sarcastically, "but admittedly that was a good day, yes."
"Maybe if we do it again, you could possibly beat me! Well, only if you tried," Harepaw sneered. "Otherwise you'd have no chance against me then."
Lightningpaw twitched his fluffy white tail in frustration. He could never get why Harepaw would just constantly boast for no particular reason. He felt like they all knew how great she was, and he was starting to get tired of hearing it...on the other hand, if she liked doing that...then...eh, whatever. Harepaw could do what she want.
Rainingflame nodded, rising to her paws to stand beside her apprentice as she gazed down at him, flicking her tail to motion for him to crouch down. "Now, show me your Hunter's crouch, as you may have mastered it already. It comes naturally for some cats."Silverstar 01:34, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame padded around the tom for a few moments, nodding every once in awhile before nudging his tail and ears. "Keep your tail parallel with the ground, and be sure to flatten your ears as well." She announced before stepping back once more.Silverstar 01:39, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame chuckled in amusement, falling onto her haunches as she watched her apprentice. "You should probably keep your tongue in your mouth, unless your tasting the air." She murmured, twitching her whiskers in amusement as she tried to become serious once more.Silverstar 01:45, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame nodded, rising to her paws once more before flicking her tail at the bracken. "Alright, you're all set! Now, try out your new skills be bring me back that vole you scented earlier." She ordered before going silent.Silverstar 01:48, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Wolfpaw nodded and stalked towards the vole silently. The vole looked up in fear. It took off. Mousebrain! Wolfpaw took off after it. He sank his claws into its flank and bit its throat. He carried it back to Rainingflame and dropped it at her paws.— Mel Pray For Peace 01:51, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Wolfpaw nodded and turned and climbed a tree. He twitched his ear and saw a robin. He slowly snuck up on it and leaped snagging its wing. "Gotcha!" The robin screeched its pain. He landed at the trees base on all fours.— Mel Pray For Peace 01:57, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
"Yes, yes. We know, You're the greatest. The best of Blossombreezes kits. The best in the clan. You even put Magpiestar to shame." Rabbitpaw rolled his eyes. He loved his sister, he really did, but her bragging was often irritating. Couldn't she be quiet for five minutes? Bragging when she woke up in the mornings(and she woke up earlier than the rest of them; something else to brag about), still bragging about one thing or another when they went back to their nests.
"In fact, why don't we just re-name the clan 'Hareclan' in your honor." Thequickandtheblues 02:07, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw was now bouncing up and down with excitement at the thought of her leading the Clan. That would be so cool, with her just doing what every other cat in SummerClan was doing, except bossing them around, and, and....
"Good idea!" she remarked. "Maybe I'll make you my deputy when the time comes." The ginger she-cat then rushed over to his side, and booped her brother on the nose. (Yes, you read that right, booped.) How brilliant of him to think of an idea of that - even though yes, he was being sarcastic here.
"So who's the medicine cat here, hmm?" Lightningpaw asked. "Surely, it wouldn't be myself?" The white tom wouldn't ever want to go do medicine cat duties unless Pikepelt ordered him around. The reek of the herbs and the ill cats and how cramped it could get...yuck. Definitely not suitable for his needs at all, unless he had to beforced in there, that was.
"Perhaps Thistlepaw can be the medicine cat, and I'll be your top senior warrior," he then suggested. "I can just lie in the middle of the warriors' den while the others go off to the sides, like they don't have hard enough lives already." Sometimes Lightningpaw felt bad for the new warriors, who had to be forced into the sides of the warriors' den because of how cramped it could get. Bbunlegs 02:12, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
"Me? Medicine cat?" Thistlepaw shook his head. "Please. Sister- I mean, Pikepelt would rip my ears off. I'm too clumsy and too big for that den."
Rabitpaw, meanwhile, was attempting to swat his sisters ears, though it wasn't exactly a serious attempt. The toms loud, rusty purring would probably give that away. "I wasn't being serious, you useless marigold lump."
Though, being deputy under Harestar wouldn't be that bad. Thequickandtheblues 02:20, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw just simply snorted in response - not much to do here. As unlikely it was for her to lead SummerClan - Magpiestar was still going strong - it'd be totally cool if she ever had the chance. Maybe she could finally scare off WinterClan, since they always called them 'big' and 'mean'. Well, that's what her mother said - and Blossombreeze's nursery tales were more often fact than fiction, perhaps a good thing, too.
"I know, but just imagine, you know?" Harepaw purred. "Us, leading the Clan, going up at Gatherings...way past cool, you know?!"
Meanwhile Lightningpaw had managed to get back to his paws after Harepaw sat on him. He was still staggering a bit, though, and was mostly balancing on his right back paw at this point. Bah, this was the price for running around? Getting worn out? Well, that was what he was good at, anyway.
"I doubt it. Magpiestar would be flea-brained to pick a cat who's only concerned with running," Lightningpaw pointed out. "They have to have other qualities, too."
"Most of the other apprentices like me," Harepaw said. "Since I'm super cool and all, obviously."
"Besides that," he responded rather curtly. "There's a reason why Ivyfoot's deputy right now. She worked hard as an apprentice-"
" 'Way past cool' ?" Rabbitpaws purring stopped for a moment as he tilted his head, thrown off by his sisters wording, before it quickly resumed. Eh, let her be excited. And annoying. Always annoying.
Sometimes, he envied Lightningpaw, being an only kit. Maybe they could trade. He could have Harepaw and Thistlepaw, and Rabbitpaw could have the company of himself, and himself alone. He'd even mentioned this fact to Lightningpaw. Numerous times. Mostly when the other two weren't around, but not always.
And speaking of Lightningpaw...The red-brown tabby padded over to his white pelted friend, just in case he needed a shoulder to lean on. He looked exhausted. Mouse-brain. He should've been using that energy for the clan, not for racing around with Harepaw. Thequickandtheblues 02:36, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw noticed that Rabbitpaw was padding over toward Lightningpaw, and watched as the white tom slumped onto her brother's side. They're such big dorks, she thought to herself. I don't think any other cats in the Clan could be as silly as them at this point. She always noticed how Lightningpaw was with Rabbitpaw all the time, if he wasn't with her and Thistlepaw, that was. Speaking of him, Harepaw padded over to her older brother's side. Perhaps he could survive some more achievement boasts. Maybe.
"I'd bet five mousetails that I could lift the heaviest cat in the Clan off the ground, and heave him onto my back," Harepaw rambled on and on. "Well, only if I could lift, that was. We're all just cats, right?"
Meanwhile Lightningpaw was relieved to see Rabbitpaw come over to help him out. Thank StarClan, for once. He kind of slumped onto his side, hoping he could handle his weight, and was still panting a bit. He was still a bit exhausted, but he was grateful that Rabbitpaw was there for him. He always did enjoy spending time with him...they always got along rather well, heh.
"You can't even lift." The fluffy grey tom responded, copper coloured eyes seeming to spark with amusement. He had no problems with Harepaws bragging. In fact, he liked it. As long as she was happy, he could listen to her go on and on forever.
"Besides. I'm probably the heaviest. And you can't pick me up." And with that, Thistlepaw suddenly went limp, trying to flop onto his sibling, hoping to knock her over with the sudden weight.
Rabbitpaw turned to lick Lightningpaws ears. How cute. "Now, if only you two put that much effort into your apprentice duties." Thequickandtheblues 03:01, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw turned to Thistlepaw, clearly offended by such an outrageous statement. Well, he wasn't wrong, per say, but to say that she couldn't lift was a lie. Being one of the leanest apprentices right now, she could probably lift Rabbitpaw or Lightningpaw if she could. Maaaybe not Thistlepaw, but she could try.
But then Thistlepaw suddenly collapsed onto her, without any notice. She knocked over a bit by the sudden weight, and she tried picking herself back up. Harepaw knew that she couldn't let her brother just prove himself right. She had to show him that she could be just as strong as any of the others. At this point she was stressing a bit trying to get herself farther than a mousetail off the ground. It did feel like some nice training, though. Maybe she could support a tree later on, heh.
"I-I'll show you, you furball!" she spat, trying to keep herself up and haul off Thistlepaw. "I'm not going to be beaten by some lazy mint clump like you."
Lightningpaw just purred as Rabbitpaw licked his ears, feeling rather comforted by the red-brown tabby's support. But when he said that he didn't much effort into his duties, he looked at him bewilderedly. Lightningpaw would overwork himself sometimes, just like his mother, Chervilclaw. Probably ran through the family blood, with his grandfather being a former SummerClan deputy himself and an older relative being a famous SummerClan cat.
"This is coming from the one who slacks off so he can have a good run with his sister," Lightningpaw said. "You definitely have lots of Clan devotion. Magpiestar would definitely pick you as his next deputy, that's for sure." He noticed how Harepaw was lifting Thistlepaw, but right now he was just trying to mess with Rabbitpaw. Bbunlegs 03:11, January 28, 2015 (UTC)
Thistlepaw chuckled, attempting to push himself down, trying to keep his sibling pinned. "Oh no. You called me a mint clump. I'm going to need to go to Pikepelt for that sick burn." She was managing to lift him, not that he minded all that much.
"Deputy? No." Rabbitpaw shook his head, before going back to grooming the white tom. "Besides, could you imagine if I was? The cruelest deputy. I don't think anyone would want that." Thequickandtheblues 00:42, January 29, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw was gradually getting adjusting to lifting Thistlepaw's heavy weight. She wondered how he could move as fast as he could with all that fluff and fat on him. Pretty impressive to Harepaw's standards, at least. The ginger she-cat let out a short breath and then thrust Thistlepaw off of her back. He was so wrong: Harepaw could lift, alright.
"Now, can you even lift?" she talked back to her brother. "Since I clearly can, anyway. Maybe Magpiestar will make us warriors sooner if he sees you lifting weight so quickly."
"Harepaw...." Lightningpaw pouted. This was just asking for trouble again, and he certainly didn't want any involvement in the young apprentice's silly games. Even if he was dragged into them because he wanted to be with Rabbitpaw, Lightningpaw did find Harepaw a bit aggravating at times. But he knew how much Rabbitpaw loved his sibling, so he kept his thoughts to himself in respects. Not that the white tom hated her at all - he liked her as a friend - it was just that all this moving around could tire out the poor fellow.
Turning back to Rabbitpaw, he went back to their previous conversation. "You wouldn't make too bad of a one, yelling at the apprentices and goofing off," he remarked sarcastically. "Besides, how could you even be cruel? You're one of the more decent cats I know of." Bbunlegs 00:54, January 29, 2015 (UTC)
Thistlepaw squeaked as he was thrown off, landing on his his back with a soft thud. Huh, so she could lift, after all. He decided to just lay there. Why get up? They weren't leaving yet, after all. "I don't think warriors get their names for throwing other cats around. But who knows."
Rabbitpaw looked over, eyes narrowing. "And I don't think warriors get their names from laying around either, Thistlepaw. Get up." Turned back to Lightningpaw. "It'd be like having another Pikepelt. Only as a deputy instead of a medicine cat. I bet everyone would leave. It would be terrible." Thequickandtheblues 01:13, January 29, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw just went ahead and teased Thistlepaw for saying that. She wasn't going to let that fly by when she was around. Would just be another way for him to knock down her pride, which she didn't want. "I don't think cats get their warrior names for sassing around," she said. "Nor for being lazy furballs." Sometimes Thistlepaw could be a pain in the tail, but she still loved her brother a whole bunch.
Lightningpaw nodded when Rabbitpaw told Thistlepaw to get up. Doing nothing wasn't going to help them get their warrior names faster. Then again...they were only apprenticed a moon ago, so he couldn't be too impatient. Then he was more alert when Rabbitpaw spoke to him again. Another Pikepelt? Bah. He couldn't be that grumpy - Pikepelt was just overworked a bunch, that's all.
"I don't think every cat would want to leave the Clan," Lightningpaw pointed out. "Otherwise, they'd all starve and die. Think more realistically."
"That's coming from the cat who refuses help from others because he's too cool," Harepaw said. "What a loser."
"Shut up," Lightningpaw retorted. "I'm much more respectable than that!" Admittedly Lightningpaw was very prideful and his ego could get ahead of him sometimes - being Raggedpelt's son was...remarkable, to say at the very least, and it just got to his head sometimes. What a silly tom. Bbunlegs 01:37, January 29, 2015 (UTC)
Silverstipe sprinted back into camp with a mouse dangling from her jaws by the tail. She set it down quickly on the pile before dashing into the medicine cat den. She hoped her former apprentice, Pikepelt, wouldn't mind if she treated herself - after all, she had been a medicine cat. The largest pad on her paw had a deep scratch, and one of her claws was wrenched. She probably shouldn't have been running on it - no, she definitely should not have run on it. The cut was plastered with dirt, and the claw was bleeding pretty heavily. She hated being a warrior. She wished she had never stepped down. Ah well. What's done is done. With that in mind, she cleaned the cut and chewed up a marigold poultice on her pad, before cleaning up her claw and fixing a poultice for that. She wrapped her paw in a thick layer of cobwebs and wrapped a large leaf over it. She secured it with yet more cobwebs - She'd have to go get more for Pikepelt later. She sat in the den with her head on her paws, before falling asleep. Perhaps when Pikepelt returned they could chat - after all, with Silverstripe being a warrior now, the two never got the chance to talk. A shame really, as they were very much alike. — nervousbreakdance 01:44, 01/29/2015
"Sure they do." Thistlepaw responded, still not getting up. "I could be Thistlechub. Or Thistlefluff. You know, something that shows that I'm the laziest cat in the clan." Not that he actually was the laziest, of course. And not that he really wanted a warrior name like that. He most certainly needed something a tad more...presentable. Elegant, even.
"You're just bitter because Lightningpaws the coolest." Rabbitpaw responded. "You might be faster, sis, but face it, you'll never be as cool as him." What they say is true. Death does wear blue 12:44, January 29, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw had to take a double-take at what Rabbitpaw said about Lightningpaw. Him? Cooler? Than her? Impossible! He was so lame, he couldn't even hold his own before he got chased back earlier. If Rabbitpaw was saying these things to her, then clearly it'd have to be for a more trivial reason....
"Bitter? Me? Nah. I'm just saying the truth," she said. "It's not like I'd ever lie, you know." Truth to be told, Harepaw lied quite a fair bit, and Harepaw was a bad liar. Not like she could hold a secret for long before she'd pass it on to someone else.
Then she went back to Thistlepaw. "Oh, please. Thistlefluff? That sounds sooo lame. Maybe try something like Thistlebutt or something."
Lightningpaw looked up at Rabbitpaw with surprised. Did he just...call him cooler than Harepaw? Suddenly he felt very embarrassed; as much as he was praised it didn't mean too much to him since it wasn't very personal. But Rabbitpaw said that, and you wouldn't just say that right in front of Harepaw's face. Trying to think of something else to do, Lightningpaw lay down again. That somewhat worked, but Rabbitpaw would probably soon follow.
"Rabbitpaw, that wasn't really...necessary..." Lightningpaw told him. "I think it's right to say that Harepaw is better than me simply because it's the truth. Didn't you even see me out there? I was too pathetic to keep running and instead got my own tail chased back!" Bbunlegs 12:56, January 29, 2015 (UTC)
"If I'm Thistlebutt, you're Harebutt." He replied, sticking his tongue out. Clearly, the tom was the most mature of apprentices. He'd probably grow out of it when he was older, though. So let him have his fun for now. "No. You're more than that. You're like, Buttbutt or something."
"Speed isn't everything." The reddish tom responded, starting to groom his spiky chest fluff. Wasn't exactly sure why Lightningpaw was laying down; he just assumed that the other tom was still tired from his little sprint with Harepaw.
"Honestly, I think maturity is far more important." He added, shooting a dirty look at his siblings as he did so. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 00:36, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
"Harebutt? C'mon," Harepaw replied. "Is that the best you can come up with, Bluebush?" Okay, teasing her siblings and poking fun at their names was pretty fun. It was even better when they didn't mind and joined along. Just seemed like a good way to pass time after a race, honestly. The ginger she-cat thought for a moment before she decided what she was to do next. A big smirk came across her face as she stared at his brother's tush.
"I'm going to pick you up now, and you can't stop me," she sneered. Then she went ahead and started to pull Thistlepaw by the tail. Hope this works.
Lightningpaw noticed that Rabbitpaw stopped paying attention to him and was now just grooming himself. Good thing...he was starting to give me more...ideas.... he thought gladly. Rabbitpaw embarrassing him and putting his pride down was the last thing he needed. Well, then again, it was nice to get complimented once in a while.
"A-Agreed," said Lightningpaw. "I don't know what would happen if Harepaw became leader...pure chaos?" The white tom honestly thought that Harepaw would just drag the Clan into more trouble if that were to happen. Not like SummerClan could afford more of that right now. Not in a time like this, nope, nope, nope. Bbunlegs 00:54, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
"Hey! Stop that!" Well, something finally seemed to get Thistlepaw moving. He flipped over onto his stomach, digging his claws into the ground so his sibling couldn't drag him or lift him. Nope, not letting that happen. She wouldn't defeat him this time. "Is this how you're going to treat others when you're leader, oh mighty Buttstar?"
Rabbitpaw flicked his tail. Honestly, the idea of 'Harestar' wasn't that bad. Someone in the family being leader? Well, it might as well be someone who had the ambition for it. Thistlepaw wasn't threatening enough; the other clans would surely invade. And as for Rabbitpaw, himself? No interest. He'd rather be a simple warrior. Maybe even a medicine cat, though that path wasn't his to walk. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 01:18, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
"Buttstar? Pfft. My butt isn't even that big, furball," Harepaw teased. The ginger she-cat's grip was loosened and she soon let go of Thistlepaw's tail. Now she had to think of another way to lift him besides just yanking his tail. But with being such a fluffy, cuddly tom, Thistlepaw wouldn't be easy to lift up again, not after that 'intense workout'
"Hey, Buttface! Watch out!" Harepaw darted around Thistlepaw and began trying to lift her paws under his head. Would she try to drag his head up? Yep. Would she succeed? Probably not.
Lightningpaw was just watching Rabbitpaw now, and honestly not doing anything else. Not like it'd be worth doing much right now, anyway. He noticed how delicate those faint mackerel tabby stripes on him were, and his puffy, chubby cheeks, and....wait a second. No, no, he couldn't be wasting his precious time on that. What would his parents think? They didn't give him a good upbringing for nothing. He'd had to do something.
"Oh, Rabbitpaw," Lightningpaw asked, "are you interested in a round of...play fighting? Just to get me out of this...trance, of course. Don't worry about how tired I am, I'm fine." Hopefully the red-brown tom wouldn't be too cautious with this offer. He just needed to get his mind off of how nice his fur...oh, there he went again! Bbunlegs 01:26, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
"How would I know about the size of your butt? It's not like I'm going to be staring at it!" He hissed in response, letting out a low yet non-serious growl as the other cat started pushing his head up. That just made him fight back even more. He had to win something, even if it was something as childish as this. After all, Harepaw wasn't as bulky as he was.
Rabbitpaw blinked slowly. Wait, what was Lightningpaw doing? "Are you sure. I don't want to have to drag you back to camp if you overexert yourself." Not that he'd say no if Lightningpaw persisted, but there was a small tinge of worry in his voice. He knew his friends habits well, after all. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 01:53, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
"You'll be looking at it soon, flea-brain," Harepaw spat, and now was just trying to heave Thistlepaw off of the ground. But unlike him, Harepaw wasn't bulky; she was rather skinny considering how old she was. Not that she couldn't try persisting, it was just extremely difficult for her to try. Then again, she did lift him off the ground before, so it wouldn't be hard to accomplish the feat again. Wait a second....
Harepaw ditched her attempt to lift off his head, and now went over to where his fluffy, chubby belly was. She was definitely going to try heave him off with her paws here. Forcefully she began attempting to lift up his fat furry tum, easily strained.
"I'll be fine," Lightningpaw assured him. "Thank you for your aid earlier - I suppose I just needed a bit of rest from that run, that's all." At this point his gaze was just drifting off to Rabbitpaw's small dark copper eyes, until he realized that he would be looked at. Flustered, Lightningpaw turned his gaze away from him again, only to start eyeing those long, gangly, leggy legs of his. Only seven moons old, and Lightningpaw was starting to look into just how nice...aww, c'mon. He'd hate to admit it, but it's not like he wouldn't later on.
"Gross." Thistlepaw lifted a paw, swatting at Harepaws ears when she went after his stomach. "Bug off! You know you won't be able to do it again. You took me by surprise the first time, that's all!" Whine whine whine, and maybe whine some more.
"Anywhere away from these jokers." Rabbitpaw responded, eyes narrowing. He'd noticed the way the other tom had been looking at him. It made him feel weird. He wasn't a piece of prey, so why was Lightningpaw staring? Whatever, it didn't matter. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 03:33, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw easily avoided Thistlepaw's attempts at hitting her. She definitely knew that she couldn't mess with him for long; as much as Harepaw was faster than him, Thistlepaw had more bulk and overall fighting power than her, considering his size. In a match between the two of them, she could only win if she actually she used her head for once. The chances of that happening, though? One in never. She'd just keep trying to lift Thistlepaw even if it'd risk her getting hurt. Such a contract from her more cautious mother.
"I assure you that our game will be much more entertaining that this," Lightningpaw replied. He was not surprised to see Rabbitpaw noticing that he was staring at him like that. Was about time, anyways. The white tom looked away as thoughts were racing through his head all of a sudden. What am I doing? I can't just start admiring any cat I wish - especially not Rabbitpaw! What would my parents think? Chervilclaw probably would have some concern, and Raggedpelt...he wouldn't even want to know. He had to uphold that small sense of 'honor' he felt - after all, Chervilclaw was related to an old deputy of past moons, and Raggedpelt was even rumored to have connections to an old leader, anyway. It'd only make sense that he'd act his part, no matter what the means were. Bbunlegs 23:21, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
Rainingflame nodded her approval as she gazed down at Wolfpaw's catch, looking slightly pleased at his abilities. "Very good. Now, let's return to camp and let you have a rest and settle in." She praised before turning away and leading him back to camp with her tail held high. Rainingflame felt an urge to chat with Magpiestar, as it had been awhile since they had a nice conversation, but her Clan duties came first.---- Flaringflame sat beside his sister as they watched Cranepaw chat with a few other apprentices. "Your son is growing up, sis...Won't be long before he's in the elder's den." Teased the ginger tom, watching his sister roll her eyes. "Well, we're the same age mouse-brain!" Burningflame retorted with a lash of her tail.Silverstar 01:36, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Flaringflame gently shoved his sister as he rose to his paws, stretching out. "Well, we'll see soon if he takes after you when it comes to hunting. Maybe he'll take after our ancestors in battling, something you never received." The fire-colored tom chuckled softly as Burningflame growled playfully and headbutted his shoulder before trotting off to eat. Flaringflame watched Cranepaw as he happily talked with others, something he didn't do often.Silverstar 01:48, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Thistlepaw wouldn't hurt the other cat, of course. Well, not on purpose, anyway. Paws were sheathed as he continued to bat at his sibling, attempting to stop her from continuing. "Face it, there's no defeating me this time."
Rabbitpaw snorted, tail tip twitching. He felt slightly insulted. He knew he wasn't the best looking tom, but the way his friend had been staring at him...He wasn't that bad, was he? Yeah, he didn't get it all. "Yeah. Whatever. Lets go." What they say is true. Death does wear blue 01:52, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Swiftpaw snorted as he watched the cats trying to dodge one another, "Pfft, what a bunch of weirdos, playing dumb games and stuff," he mewed, although he did have a secret deep-down desire to join in. But within mid thought, he noticed he was staring and looked away quickly, he needed to look the least bit interested after all. He was superior in every way plus more, age and everything. 02:23 Sat Jan 31
Harepaw looked down at Thistlepaw, determined to lift him up. "C'monnn. This is so unfair," she whined. Thistlepaw was being such a annoying fur lump right now, but Harepaw would definitely-
The ginger she-cat heard a mean-spirited comment come from a smaller voice nearby. Confused, she turned around to see a familiar small gray tabby face. Looks like it's one of my fans. she thought smugly. Swiftpaw was born a moon after she and her siblings (and Lightningpaw), so they didn't know him too much, except that he was very, very small.
"Well, Thistlepaw, would you look at that!" she said. "I think this runt wants to join us. But he's definitely going to prove himself if he wants to join us. Those shoulders are good, but those legs? Tch. He probably skips the days he has to run in training." Harepaw wouldn't just let any cat join their small group easily... but it could happen.
Lightningpaw went ahead and left the den, hoping Rabbitpaw was following behind him. He just wanted to get away from the other two right now, being so fed up with their silly game. Then again, who was he to talk, with him admiring Rab-
Nevermind that. The white tomcat waited for his friend to catch up to where he was, in camp center. He was faster than Rabbitpaw, but even then the tom could put up a good chase on some days. Perhaps he would be named for that, or his mean-spirited comments, or for his lo- gah, forget it! Lightningpaw was so done, and he just wanted to do something else. Bbunlegs 02:45, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Thistlepaw looked over, sitting up. Someone was watching them? Well, he couldn't be caught acting so immature, could he. The large apprentice started to groom himself, embarrassed. How mortifying, actually. Sure, Harepaw seemed to be okay with that, but he wasn't. Nope, getting caught like that...Terrible. Horrible. "He could join if he wanted, I guess..."
Rabbitpaw was indeed following, looking at the floor as he did so. Paws too large for his skinny, gangly legs. No wonder why Lightningpaw had been staring at him. Hmph, what else? Would he make note of Rabbitpaws large ears, next? His tail? At least Lightningpaw seemed smart enough to keep those comments to himself. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 03:13, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Harepaw looked back at Thistlepaw for a moment, and noticed that he was looking all disappointed. What's his problem? the ginger she-cat wondered. Probably the fact that the runt had see them fool around gave him the thought that he wasn't being all cool. Yeah, that was probably it, just part of that superiority he had going on.
"Well look who's being a giant pissbaby," she sneered. "Thistlepaw, grow up. It's not like he's going to care or anything." Honestly, sometimes Thistlepaw could seem a bit of a whiner at a times. Always trying to look cool...then again, Harepaw thought he was way past that level. She thought that he was on a whole other level - didn't help that she was his brother.
Lightningpaw waited until Rabbitpaw caught up to him, looking in the other direction. At this point he just wanted these confusing feelings to leave him. Why were they making him so...for the lack of a better term, dazed? What was so appealing about Rabbitpaw that he just had to stop and notice? His paws were cute right now - oh come on - but Lightningpaw couldn't understand why he thought he had such nice ey- I'm done.
"Okay, we're going to that field near those trees. You know, the one we always go to?" Lightningpaw told the red-brown tabby, trying to keep his cool. "It makes for a nice, warm spot during the day, you know." Bbunlegs 03:42, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Swiftpaw snorted, getting up immediately "I can run a million billion times around the camp! I am no runt and I can be plenty useful despite that I'm a tiny bit smaller than everyone else!" he kept going on defending himself, even though he knew deep deep within that there was no hope of him growing to be as tall as his clanmates. After ranting about his size for nearly three minutes, he stopped to pant before continuing, "Throw me a challenge and I'll beat you instantly, like so fast you won't know what hit you it'll be that fast," he claimed, glowering. He didn't seem at all interested in studying the cats he was challenging, so he kept going into the moment as bull-headedly as possible. 03:47 Sat Jan 31
"Shut up, Harepaw." Thistlepaw mumbled, not looking at his sister. Of course he was trying to look cool. He wasn't as smart as his brother, nor as skilled as his sister. He needed something other than 'fluff'. Tilted his head at Swiftpaws ranting. Oh, looked like Harepaw had struck a nerve with the smaller cat.
"Yes, I know where to go." Rabbitpaw flicked his tail dismissively. "Lets just get there already." Wow. Cold. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 04:20, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Bluestone looked around camp solemnly. It was getting very lonely. Recently, she had started thinking about getting a mate, but everytime she tried she just thought about Goosekit and how the only cat she really wanted was him. She cringed and flexed her claws as his death replayed in her head. She lashed her short tail, it aching with a phantom pain. She still had issues with flashbacks, even though she was only a kit when she was abducted by WinterClan. That Raven-Obsessed Person 04:21, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
The ginger she-cat ignored Thistlepaw's comment - not like she'd be listening to him right now. She cornered up on Swiftpaw, trying to make herself appear large and intimidating to the smaller, younger tomcat. Nobody would say that they could run faster than Harepaw and live to tell the truth.
"You? The fastest? Pleaaase," she said. "Try racing me. You can't outrun me - I'm suuuper fast, and I'll be at the end-mark faster than you can slice a tree into two." Admittedly that last phrase was a bit awkwardly worded, but it wasn't like Harepaw could go back and change it now. It made sense, too; Harepaw was just really, really fast. That lean build of hers didn't come from nothing, that's for sure.
"Okay, but no need to be a piss about it," Lightningpaw muttered under his breath. The white tom just didn't feel like having any more of Rabbitpaw's sass today. Especially when he was look- okay I think we get the point now. He led the way around the dead tree that was a nice training spot for apprentices, often, and through the maze of maples and oaks that led to a open field surrounded by more trees. Perfect for just about everything you could think of. Yes, even that. Lightningpaw was prepared to pin down Rabbitpaw once he followed him into the clearing and begin their game. Bbunlegs 04:35, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Luckily enough, Rabbitpaw didn't hear that comment. If he had, he might of just given up and returned to watching his siblings faff about. The little sourpuss was already in a foul mood, mostly due to his own lack of confidence when it came to his looks. He trailed behind Lightningpaw, letting himself fall behind. Of course, he had no idea about the upcoming ambush. What they say is true. Death does wear blue 14:27, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Lightningpaw was just waiting for Rabbitpaw to come in when he saw the red-brown tabby come in to the clearing. Now's my chance.
The white tom bolted at him from where he was hiding and pinned him to the ground. He was on top, and just tried looking away at Rabbitpaw...but then he started staring at him again. No...he's only going to beat me that way! Lightningpaw worriedly thought. He was trying to keep his focus with holding the tom down, but his little thoughts of his were trying to invade again. It'd only be a matter of time. Bbunlegs 14:45, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Swiftpaw snickered, "Well than I guess I'll be beating you by about twenty moons, anyway how does one even split a tree into two?" he mewed, trying his best to match Harepaw's obvious stance, but failing due to his size. But he still wouldn't shrink up, no, that's for the weak! Swiftpaw was pretty much talking through his tail rather than with his brain, as the tom was a scrawny cat with about zero muscle besides what looked like muscle, which was really fur. Although, what he did have was longer back legs as well as front legs, which took up a large portion of his size, so it made him a decent running and jumping cat, alike his line which consisted of Stormclaw and Thunderstorm. This, though, wasn't compared to Harepaw's abilities, which were superior to his own, but Swiftpaw kept on talking anyway. 18:55 Sat Jan 31
Harepaw wondered for a moment - the gray tabby tom did have a point. I guess lightning does the job? I don't know!
The ginger she-cat went straight ahead to the race, not even bothering to finish what she was saying. "Not if I can help it!" she growled, and darted out of the apprentices' den. She would've told Thistlepaw that she would be leaving, but then again, she tended to jump straight to work rather than think it out. Something to be expected out of a cat so reckless as her. Hopefully Swiftpaw wouldn't have caught up by now - the tom might have long legs, but did he have the speed to match hers? Bbunlegs 20:46, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
Swiftpaw, being caught completely unaware by Harepaw, sped off after her. "Ger-dang-fu-!" he hissed several curse words as he ran past several clan members and out of camp. The she-cat was much farther than he was, and even though he was only about two fox-lengths away from her, he knew he wasn't going to win at this rate. Maybe I can- hm, how about cut through and cheat? That dummy'll never know, he thought, thinking of cutting through a shrub-infested area around the open area they were going through. Snickering, he realised his chance had come and quickly jumped to the side, knowing Harepaw was a few fox-lengths away and wouldn't notice, and barged through. But as soon as he barged head first into the shrubs, he felt pricks of pain all throughout his body and halted immediately, which caused only even more pain as his head ran straight into his attacker; thorns.
Thrashing and whimpering at the same time, he screeched in frustration "FOX-DUNG!" he hissed, loud enough to the point where he shut his mouth immediately. As he struggled, the first half of his came free due to his small size and the fact that the lower half wasn't so full of thorns, but he knew his rear end wasn't coming out anytime soon. This really wasn't his day, and on top of that he really hated Harepaw. 21:02 Sat Jan 31
Goldenmoon began to feel pains in her belly - realizing they were contractions, she called for Pikepelt. Spotting the tabby molly sulking along the side of the camp, she called out to her. "Pi-Pikepelt! I'm having contractions!" she called.
The medicine cat jumped a bit, scowling as she was disturbed from her thoughts. "Of course you are. Oh, you're going to have so much fun pushing little cats out of your-"
"Will you just come help me deliver these kittens, you moron!" Goldenmoon hissed. She staggered into the nursery, not quite sure how she was still walking. She settled in her nest, trying to find a position appropriate for birthing. She lifted her head as Pikepelt pushed her way into the den, grumbling under her breath. Helping deliver kittens wasn't her favourite thing to do - but at least it was something. Cats these days seemed to be invincible.
Pikepelt pressed her paws to the queen's stomach. "Good. This will be over soon," she muttered. "There's only two." She pawed a stick toward Goldenmoon. "Bite on this so I don't have to listen to you shout," she instructed flatly. Goldenmoon did as she was told, to Pikepelt's relief.
Goldenmoon's kitting was done within about twenty minutes - one of the shortest births Pikepelt had ever been witness to. After the kits were settled at Goldenmoon's belly, Pikepelt left the nursery, thankful it was over. If queens could figure it out themselves then there wouldn't be any issues, she thought bitterly.
Snaketail entered the nursery after Pikepelt left. Goldenmoon looked up wearily and pointed to one of the kits. "This is Starlingkit. Turtletail, name the other one?" she meowed softly, watching as the kits suckled and mewled. — nervousbreakdance 22:03, 01/31/2015
Turtletail lay down in the now overcrowded bed of moss, watching as the two kits squirmed and squealed, their fur still wet with fluids. He looked at the tortoiseshell, obviously a female, and thought for a moment. "Perhaps Guppykit?" he whispered, as the smaller black kit had fallen asleep. Template:User;Cryptid Hunter93/Sig 22:14
"I love it," Goldenmoon purred, nuzzling her mate. She began to clean the newly named Guppykit, holding her down gently with a paw. Starlingkit had fallen asleep in the crook of her belly near her hind legs, so she tried to keep his sister away from him. "I wonder what they'll be like in a few moons?" she meowed in between licks. — nervousbreakdance 22:19, 01/31/2015
Turtletail rested his head on his mate's leg and let out a purr. "Only StarClan knows," he meowed. -- Guppykit squirmed through her nest of moss and feathers, looking to return to the supply of milk that could be found at her mother's belly. She let out loud a squeal as she felt herself on a cold, hard, unfamiliar surface. -- Turtletail looked over and saw his daughter had fallen out of the nest onto the nursery floor and seemed to be less than pleased about it. The black tom picked up the kit and lay her back into the nest, nudging her to Goldenmoon's belly. He licked the kit's head when she finally stopped squeaking, attaching her tiny mouth to Goldenmoon's belly. Cryptid Yo 22:41

Badgernose began his return back to camp. He had spent the day with his best friend around the SplashClan border. He had caught up with him and told him about his kits.--- Stoatfeather was also returning to camp, but had washed blood off his claws before he did.Meerkatpaw (talk) 23:45, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
