"Ace!" Maxine called to her younger, m ore energetic brother. The white tom had raced ahead without even thinking. Was he mental? She thought angrily before racing after him. The flame-point loner dashed forward, her gaze ahead searching for her brother. Where was he? She thought, growing worried. Ace - however - had raced ahead of his older, much slower sister. Despite his short legs, Ace was the fastest and more lithe of them. His brown gaze darting back and forth he forgot to check the Thunderpath for monsters. It was then another cat, way darker than his fiery ginger-white sister. He struggled to stop pushing his paws forward in what looked like panic.
Alexander was walking beside the thunderpath, carrying a mouse. He heard something. He couldn't tell if he was just hearing things at first, the sound of the monsters drowned out most of the noise, but he heard the noise again, it sounded like a voice, then he glanced around, looking faintly confused on why another cat would be so near the thunderpath when he saw a white blur dangerously close to it. He realized it was another cat, and he couldn't be sure if they were having trouble stopping or not... So, dropping he prey underneath a nearby bush, he darted forward to see if they needed help. ~Patchfeather~ 18:46, January 9, 2017 (UTC)
Maxine charges forward, not gracefully in the least. She raced forward knowing she'd be too late and she wouldn't have her cheerful brother.
Alexander flew into the little kitten just in time. He landed with a slight thud and a roll, then sprang to his feet. He limped over to the white kit and gave him a slight sniff. "You okay, kid?" ~Patchfeather~ 03:26, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
Ace glared. "I'm not a kid." He huffed, sure the odd tom had saved him but he hadn't saved him from Maxine. His older sister has quite the temper and he hated making her mad. Why did he always do it?
"You buffon!" The angry screech of the flame-point loner reached his ears. He flinched, lifting his gaze to meet her now icy blue one. "You could have been killed." Ace shuffled.
"Mistakes happen," Alexander said, whisking his tail. "Just pay more attention in the future," he said, in a light tone. ~Patchfeather~ 15:10, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
Maxine - however - was still fuming. "Ace, I've told you time and time again. You don't run ahead in this are. Its different when your at the alcove, not here." She snapped finally, blue eyes blazing. "You!" She turned to him, eyes barely softening. "Thank you," she said finally. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 15:18, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
"You're welcome," Alexander replied. "Do you need help with anything else?" ~Patchfeather~ 15:22, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
"No, we were just taking a walk." She told him before she introduced herself. "I'm Maxine and this little brat is Ace, my little brother." She said. The flame-point cast her now calm blue eyes onto the bicolored loner. "You are?" I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 15:24, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
"I'm Alexander, but just call me Alex," the tom replied, with a slight bow. "Nice to meet you Maxine, Ace." ~Patchfeather~ 15:32, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
Maxine nodded, casting her blue gaze down to her solid white brother. He was small and unable to defend himself. His energy and innocent nature would surely get him in trouble too. She just wished she could help him out by teaching him what Alby taught her. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 15:33, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
"Anyway, I live down the road a bit," Alexander said, looking far too relaxed with telling random cats where he lived. "So if you do need help, you can come and find me there," then he got to his paws, winced when one of his hind paws gave way under his weight. Must be sprained. No more hunting today. ~Patchfeather~ 15:37, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
Maxine nodded. "Ace we should head back, Adelaide'll be getting worried." She told the tiny tom. Ace nodded, letting out a yawn. "Besides you need to rest," she said. "I guess we'll see you later?" She commented, beginning to lead the white loner away. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 15:44, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
"Yeah, see you later," Alexander mewed, turning and beginning to limp away back to where he had dropped his mouse, waving his tail in farewell. ~Patchfeather~ 15:47, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
While walking on their way back to their home, Maxine stopped to hunt for the two of them. After catching a small robin she led the way to small tree in which they ate in safety. Ace quiet the whole time, now feeling guilty that he had caused that loner to get hurt. "Ace," Maxine murmured.
Ace glanced up with his brown eyes. "Yeah?" He said, voice hoarse. The white loner just wanted to get home and rest up. Maybe someday he'd be able to find his own way of being happy. Those Clans he had heard talk of sounded nice. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 16:50, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
Harmony had a brief fling with that Kirtonos guy, but not that kind of fling. Ok, it wasn't a fling-fling, they had been more of...a slight boyfriend/girlfriend kind of thing. Nothing more, nothing had happened. The smoke tom had taken the cream tabby by surprise, for she had expected him to be a "typical tom" and attempt to take advantage of her. But the messenger had been very kind, a well-mannered soul with a very charming personality. But they just didn't have that "spark", and therefore did not work out.
He was cute, but I don't think 'big, scary, and hairy' is my type. Harmony wished to chuckle outloud, but the hunting she-cat kept silent, paws landing softly on the ground as she stalked her prey: an oblivious mouse. A scrawny and pitiful meal, but it was better than nothing.Silverstar 21:43, January 10, 2017 (UTC)
Alexander found his mouse and made his way back to his den. It was an old badger set, but the badgers had moved out long ago. He dropped the mouse just outside the set, then limped slowly into the mouth of the den then collapsed on his mossy nest with a light thud. He soon drifted off. ~Patchfeather~ 00:51, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
Maxine and Ace arrived back at their home. The waterfall's water a cheery clear blue, Maxine nodded for Ace to head up there for she could tell he wanted to rest. That was when Adelaide came running forward eyes wide. "Did something bad happen?" She asked, tabby tail twitching nervously. Maxine sighed before the two began to walk along the small pond at that the waterfall fell into. "Sort of." She told the loner.
"Ace ran ahead again." She said. "Luckily, Alexander, a loner we just met, saved Ace from running to his death. Ace couldn't stop himself, Adelaide." She said, emotions rushing through her voice now. Usually the molly kept her emotions hidden and that was never good for her. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 17:03, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
Alexander dreamed about Ava. He wondered what happened to her... she just disappeared one day. The dream was of him and Ava, as kits, playing in their nest together. Ava kept scratching the soft floor of the den, and then she started snuffling... loudly. He blinked awake and realized the snuffling and scratching was coming from outside. He pricked his ears and his heart quickened. It sounded big. He stood up, but collasped and let out a sigh of pain and he remembered he had hurt his leg. ~Patchfeather~ 16:44, January 12, 2017 (UTC)
Nearly a full moon later, Maxine walked the Thunderpath alone. She had told Ace to stay home, that she needed time alone. Maxine had really thought about Ace's accident and wanted to stop them..but how? The flame-point flattened her ears as a monster passed. If mother and father were here maybe he'd act better? Maybe all he did need was new surroundings. She could see about thise Clans she had heard of. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 01:55, January 16, 2017 (UTC)
Alexander rose from his nest. A moon had passed since he had found a fox outside his nest. The fox had learned he lived there and kept coming back, so he decided moving was the best choice. He now lived in a hollow log, still beside the thunderpath. He scrambled out of his den, ready to hunt. His leg had healed fast and he could now even run. ~Patchfeather~ 23:08, January 16, 2017 (UTC)
Harmony moved silently and lightly on her paws, eyes traced on her busy prey. She paused, wiggled her haunches, and then leaped with her claws out stretched. She easily caught her prey between a pair of claws, killing it with a swift bite to the back of the neck.Silverstar 21:47, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
Maxine continued to walk beside the Thunderpath, her thoughts still on Ace. She thought maybe she could take him somewhere safer, somewhere he won't get hurt. She could do that couldn't she? Deep down she always had a sneaking suspicion that she'd be the reason Ace would somehow hurt himself. I solemnly swearthat I am up to no good 21:45, January 21, 2017 (UTC)
Alexander padded through the undergrowth, close to the thunderpath when he spotted a cat not too far away. He realized it was the she-cat he met, after he saved her brother. "Hey!" he called, bounding over. ~Patchfeather~ 19:48, February 15, 2017 (UTC)
